HALF MARATHON (Team Entry)

  • Teams of 4 runners each
  • Each Team must register a Team name
  • All team members must run and complete the half marathon race course to obtain a team time. 
  • **THIS IS NOT A RELAY**
  • Team results are calculated by the average time of all 4 individual runners
  • Each team member will also receive their individual time
  •  If one or more team members are unable to participate or complete the race, then the remaining team members will run as individuals and only receive individual race results. No team time will be available.
  •  Team Captain completes one entry form for entire team

REFUND POLICY

All entries are non-refundable. NO Refunds or Rollovers will be offered for any reason.

DONATION

Proceeds from this race will go to support the Canadian Mental Health Association, Alberta Division.

Additional donations can be made with your Online Registration or by Cheque with your Drop Off Entry form.
You do not have to be in attendance to receive this prize!

How to get to Running Room

**In the event that a participant is unable to pick up their race package (i.e. out-of-town participants), the Race Committee will allow a friend or family member to pick up the package on their behalf.

COURSE DESCRIPTIONS

Route Summaries:

21k- From the start athletes turn north on the George C King Bridge, then head WEST along the Bow River Pathway.  Athletes will run next to Memorial Drive and turn left heading over the Peace Bridge.  Athletes will head West along the Bow River Pathway to the turnaround point just under Crowchild Trail.  Athletes will RETURN THE SAME WAY back to George C King Bridge.  Once at the bridge, athletes will follow the 10k route.

10k - Athlete will turn SOUTH on the  George C King Bridge and head east along the Bow River Pathway turning south and following Elbow River through Lindsay Park.  The 5k turnaround is in Erlton Park(25ave SW & Erlton St SW). Return the same way to the finish.

5k -  Athletes will turn SOUTH on the George C King Bridge and head east along the Bow River Pathway turning south and following Elbow River to the turnaround at the 2.5k point.  Return the same way to the finish.


BIB NUMBERS
Bib numbers contain information specific to you as a runner. Please ensure bib numbers are worn on the front and are visible by Race Marshals.

TIMING
Chip timing will be used for all participants.

FLUID/AID STATIONS
There will be 7 fluid aid stations along the Half Marathon race route, with both water AND sports drink at each station. Aid Stations will be located at the following km markers: 2.5km, 5km, 7.5km, 10km, 12.5km, 15km & 17.5km. The aid station at the 10km mark will also have porta potties nearby.

PRE/POST RACE EVENTS
To be held at the race site in St. Patrick's Island Park.
Washroom and change facilities available within this area.
Storage of personal items will be available during the race.
Please do not bring valuables down to the event.
No pets allowed in the park.
